About Us

Part of
Noda transparent.png

M.M.T.C. was founded on the 19th October 1972 (known then as Maghull Amateur Operatic Society). From those early days when members provided their own costumes and made the scenery, we have grown into one of the North West’s most successful amateur musical theatre companies. We currently have over 70 talented members of all ages who come together as one big talented family to put on our fabulous award winning shows!

This success does not just happen but is down to a dedicated hard working Committee who are supported by a talented and enthusiastic membership.

Auditioning

In January and July, auditions are held for the upcoming show. We have a couple of weeks rehearsing audition pieces which are usually some dialogue and a song. Auditions take part infront of a panel usually consisting of the Director, Choreographer, Musical Director and a non-participant. If you are not currently a member, the audition fee is £20. You do not need to audition if you want to be in the ensemble.
