NODA Critique

How to give a well known show which has one of the loveliest overtures Richard Rodgers wrote a new I different lease of life is always difficult but the opening of this show was very well done . the movement and choreography throughout was to a high standard. We had a nice interpretation from Carrie (Nuala Duxbury) and Julie Jordan (Elaine Connell). Both ladies have good voices and acted their parts well. Billy Bigelow ~a played by Tony Kelly and Mrs Mullin by Gaynor Hale, this was a well performed cameo. Ella Dring gave a commanding portrayal of Nettle Fowler with a voice to match. Les Hampsons played Enoch Snow extremely well and his mannerisms were a joy-and I was also very impressed by the staging of the finale I would like to thank the society for their hospitality and an entertaining evening,
